Setting the Ticker Tape Horizontal Context

The following steps explain how to set a horizontal ribbon-style “Ticker Tape” view in Lime.

1. Move to first note or rest of piece.
2. Click on Context menu (ALT+C)
3. Choose Part Extraction or just type the letter e.
4. Click on Duplicate (ALT+N)
5. Enter the name for this new context. For example: TickerContext
6. Click on the Ticker Tape button or press ALT+T.
7. Click OK button or press ALT+O.
8. Lime displays a list of parts in your piece. Select the part name you wish to display in the Ticker Tape context
9. Click the “Done” button or press ALT+O.

If Lime does not have enough information about the layout of your score, it displays a message to tell you that you can now set specific layout information for your new context. Otherwise, you have successfully added the new context and Lime returns you to its main screen.

10. If the layout message is displayed, click Continue button or type ALT+O.
11. Review/change and then click the OK button or type ALT+O
12. Lime displays information about the new page layout.
13. Click Continue button or type ALT+O to return to Lime’s main window.

Your music should now appear as one continuous horizontal ribbon when you scroll manually or automatically. To switch back to “Normal” context, click the Context menu and then “Score”.
