Script:

This video will demonstrate how to use SharpEye's Batch process for combining multiple pages. Batch process should be used for pieces containing 4 or more pages because, once you have that many pages it gets confusing combining them manually.

The batch process allows you to specify all the image files for a piece of music and then it does the equivalent of Read from the Read menu for each image and then combines all the pages into one complete piece.

Batch process is available from SharpEye's Read menu. (Batch process is selected from the Read menu and then the Set up batch dialog appears.)

First, click on Add Files and select all your image files using the Open dialog that is displayed. After clicking on Open (in the Open dialog), make sure your files are in the correct order (in the list of files of the Set up batch dialog). You can drag the right side of the File column if your image filename is long.

Then, (using the field, Output folder or the Browse button) select the folder where you want SharpEye to put all of the files it makes from this process. You can type this in or use the Browse button to locate an appropriate folder. I recommend making a specific folder for each piece.

Next make sure Join files after conversion is checked and finally, (in the field, Name for joined file) select a name for your music file that will have all the pages in it. I'm naming my file with all the pages VivaldiConcertoComplete.

After this is completed, you can look at the complete piece using Open Music from the File menu.

Adiitional Notes

  • If you need to re-do the batch process, you must delete all the .mro files that SharpEye made from a previous run for the piece you are working on or SharpEye will stop and complain about the files from your previous attempt.
  • Be sure your text recognition options are set correctly before opening the Set up batch dialog.
